Welcome to my new website and in fact my first site of any kind.

Having been working in the industry more than 10 years now I thought it was time to have an online portfolio rather than just storing my work on old hard drives.

So tomhowardmedia.com has been born with the help from Justin Murray, who has worked wonders with this project.

It’s been a bit of a culture shock moving back home after seven years in Australia and in truth I couldn’t have picked a worse time, but the move had been in the works for 12 months, and it was too late to turn back.

Anyway, it is great to be home with family and it’s been great to get back to something that resembles work in the last two weeks.

While I’m searching for a new permanent home, I’m really grateful for the opportunity to help my local BTCC team Motorbase Performance by shooting and editing some cool video content. 

It may not be the news and feature writing that has been my bread and butter over the last few years in Australia, but I’m enjoying strengthening my skills and telling stories in a different medium. 

The reaction to the videos on the team’s social media pages has been awesome. I’m looking forward to creating some more videos in the coming weeks.  

I really enjoyed creating this moody piece but it has also been awesome to get back to the race track, for the first time since January, at Donington Park last week for a test day.
